COPD Conferences, June 2016

COPD Conferences Limited has now worked with Executive Business Support Ltd since 2002. Our first contact was made when we discovered that the conference organisers for our third biennial International Multidisciplinary Conference on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD3) had fallen well short of their promised timelines. With only a few months to go it looked as if the conference would have to be cancelled unless drastic action was taken. A colleague recommended EBS to us and after contacting them and employing the services of EBS Ltd we managed to salvage the event. This was due to a tremendous amount of hard work on the part of all the team at EBS.

We were very impressed by the turnaround of COPD3 and had no hesitation in asking EBS Ltd to become Conference Managers for subsequent events. Since this time EBS Ltd has worked with us on 6 biennial events which have gone from strength to strength and they are again managing the forthcoming COPD10 Conference in 2016. With their continued professionalism and now established reputation with the major sponsors of the event we have already secured substantial financial backing and every confidence that this will be the most successful conference to date.

The COPD Conferences attract in the region of 600-700 delegates from all over the world and they are always made to feel very welcome in Birmingham by the EBS Ltd team. We have between 70 and 90 international speakers who are invited to participate in a 3 day conference and we know that all of their requirements are taken care of to ensure that the event runs smoothly.

EBS Ltd have grown over the years but are still a relatively small team. We feel this adds to their success as they work well together and provide us, as their clients, a more personal service than that offered by some larger organisations we have worked with. They listen to our requests and act upon them, but they also make suggestions for opportunities to improve or maximise our event, if appropriate.

The entire EBS Ltd team are always friendly and approachable and any issues that arise are always dealt with in a timely manner. This is reflected by the high scores given to the conference organisation in delegate feedback questionnaires.

We would certainly recommend EBS Ltd to anyone who needed a professional, reliable team to work for them in any capacity, large or small.

ARTP, September 2015

ARTP employ Jackie and her team at EBS to run the administration side of our professional body. They also organise the logistics for our annual professional conference, all our training courses and other national events, such as our National Strategy Day for leaders in respiratory physiology. They excel in finding appropriate venues and negotiating very good rates for us. They are always available on the day of these events to ensure everything runs smoothly and deal with any issues that may arise at the time. This frees us up to get on with the business in hand.

They are instrumental in assisting us to organise our professional exams, organising invitations to students and examiners, preparing all necessary paperwork and examination forms, being available on the day (usually weekends) to aid in the smooth running of these examinations and organising all students individual records of clinical practice to be posted to examiners to mark.

EBS help administer our membership database, sending out reminders when memberships are due and ensuring the smooth transition of memberships, including payments, from one year to the next. In this respect they help deal with any enquiries that may arise, not just with memberships, but any other aspect of ARTP business. As EBS know ARTP so well, they are usually able to assist with any queries at the point of call, but always ensure the appropriate individual is asked for advice if it is out of their scope of responsibility.

All expense claims for ARTP business are handled expertly and efficiently by EBS and they assist with our budgets and accounts, ensuring we are kept up to speed with current finances on a monthly basis.

I have always been impressed with the team’s business acumen and they have always been happy to impart their extensive knowledge to assist us in moving with the times and developing professionally as an organisation.

I cannot speak highly enough of Jackie and her team. Without them ARTP would cease to function. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending EBS as I know they will do a fantastic job and you will be left wondering how you managed without them.

British Sleep Society, June 2016

During my tenure as President of the British Sleep Society, Executive Business Support (EBS) were employed to run the society’s administrative affairs in 2013, following a competitive interview process. Since then, EBS have helped transform the society in numerous areas.
